Visible app and/or wearable

I have been using the Visible app to help track my symptoms. It is specifically for illness tracking, not activity tracking, and is geared toward invisible illnesses. So far, it has been fairly accurate in predicting my physical state. Is anyone else using it? What are your thoughts?

  1. Hi, ! I am not familiar with this app, nor am I aware of any community members using it, but that doesn't mean someone here hasn't tried it out!

Since I am unfamiliar with the app, please feel free to share what you like about the app. I always like learning about new tools that can help make life with RA a bit more manageable.

    1. This app theoretically helps with pacing. This is particularly true when used with the wearable device, but also works overall with just the free app. For example, I was out and about a lot on Saturday shopping and such. I didn't sleep well overnight and when I measured my pulse, heart rate variability, and whatever else it tracks (using the camera on your phone and your finger), it gave me a "stability score" of 2. My normal is 4, so I knew I needed to take it easy on Sunday. The longer you use it, the more accurate it becomes. It is just an easier way of counting your "spoons".

      1. Hi . My wife, Kelly Mack (a contributor here), also uses the Visible app. In fact, she started with the free version, but now has the wearable device. She finds it very helpful. While she says (I'm picking her brain right now) the wearable device isn't 100% necessary, she finds it helpful for pacing throughout the day, finding trends, and where her energy is being spent. She definitely feels it is pretty accurate as a predictor of her state/energy levels for the day. She says she could go on/discuss this for hours, but I'll simply ask if there are other questions you might have about her experience. Best, Richard (Team Member)
