How does RA affect the bladder?

Hi Penny. RA does not typically affect the bladder. However, in some cases it has been know to create bladder control issues. In addition, some medications may have side-effects, such as increased risk of bladder infection. As Kelly noted, only a doctor can provide a proper diagnosis. Wishing you the best. I have been asking the same question, as I have been experiencing recurrent bladder infections. Now taking Methenamine (antibiotic specifically for bladder infections). I don't know if this is common in those of us with RA but will speak with my rheumatologist next visit. Are you having any specific issues? Incidentally, I am older than you but when I saw your photo, I thought I was looking at a picture of me. Startled me.
