Covid-19 Vaccine and RA

Hi my name is Susan, I have Rheumatoid Arthritis, Fibromyalgia, Hashimotos Thyroiditis, Insulin Resistant, Celiac disease, and Sleep Apnea. I am very concerned about the Covid-19 vaccine for individuals like myself, with immune compromising issues. I am very anxious but I need to take a plane flight, I could just do the swab, but people have told me you can get COVID from just being on the plane. Any suggestions, please others who have had the vaccine share your experience. I wish everyone good health. Thank you.

  1. hi there! It's very understandable your concerns about taking the Covid-19 vaccines. This is an active thread with community members sharing their experiences with the vaccines: https://rheumatoidarthritis.net/forums/covid-vaccine as well as another one that focuses more on potential side effects: https://rheumatoidarthritis.net/forums/ra-and-covid-vaccines. Just want to share a friendly reminder that everyone responds to medication a little differently, so it's worth consulting with your doctor to see which, if any, of the COVID-19 vaccines are right for you personally. Thanks for reaching out! - Reggie (RheumatoidArthritis.net Team Member)
