RA Athlete and Hope for your future

I am an athlete, outdoor professional and adventuress who was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) 35 years ago at age 23.

In spite of the odds, I am thriving today at 57. I hope to shine a light on RA for the general public and inspire those who live with RA.

Check out my current blog entitled Epic Odyssey, and Ouch! Six Lessons Worth Sharing.

I am interested in hearing about other athletes living with RA- success, challenges, recovery, vitamins. Don't give up , there is hope.

  1. Thank you so much for your post and I will check out your story. I am a fitness professional - group exercise instructor and personal trainer - recently diagnosed (female, age 51). My initial, and currently most frustrating symptoms, are muscle soreness within hours after working out along with extreme fatigue. I'm hopeful that with modifications and medication I can continue my career in the industry and continue working out. Thank you again!

    1. Natpt- I work out 6 times a week as I race outrigger canoes. I am also in my 50's. Keep me posted. Sign up for my blogs. I also have started a facebook group call RA Athlete- it's about thriving. You will find a link on my blog on Chronic Life page.
Take care- you will find a way!
