I battled many years with low hemoglobin so I get it. I was always hovering somewhere around 10-11 and they always wanted me up at 13 or so. A few years back I even got lymphoma, most likely somehow due to the years of RA, and the first sign was my hemoglobin taking a dip to 7. Fortunately, they caught it early and gave me a transfusion. They thought it was a peptic ulcer at first but in the 3end the seventh CAT scan showed it was lymphoma. SO, sufficed to say, I get it. In addition, about 10-15 years ago I was in the hospital with some lung stuff and caught pneumonia, and my doctor said let’s try an RA medicine for RA with the telltale sign of lung involvement. Well, guess what? It worked and I’ve been on it ever since. It actually keeps my RA tamped down so now I just have to deal with the years of damage! I know it’s hard but just know you are not alone. Let us know if there’s anything we can do from here! Keep on keepin’ on, DPM
