You must keep moving

I’ve had RA for about 50 years
And I m at the end of it!
I keep moving where I feel like it or not very important

  1. Hello, ! Thanks so much for sharing how much movement has helped you in managing some of your RA pain and stiffness over your 50 years of living with it. One of our advocates spoke about this in a video I wanted to share with you, https://rheumatoidarthritis.net/video/helpful-regular-movement. Do you have any movements or exercises that you’ve found especially helpful for yourself? We appreciate you sharing in the community here. Wishing you a gentle day! — Warmly, Christone (Team Member)

    1. I just joined forum today. Ty team members. It has been very helpful in response to the exercise. I have to walk every day to keep my joints moving. It really helps sometimes twice a day. Hope this helps.

    2. , welcome! Thanks so much for joining the forum and sharing your experience with exercise. It sounds like walking every day (even sometimes twice) has really been helpful for you and that is so great! -- Warmly, Christine (Team Member)

  2. Hi . Like you, my wife, Kelly Mack (a contributor here), has had RA quite a while. She was diagnosed at age two, 45 years ago. A number of years ago (2015) she wrote this article on the importance of that daily movement and managing RA through exercise: https://rheumatoidarthritis.net/living/exercise-habits. As the intervening years have passed the exercise has only become more important for her. She gets some in everyday and aqua therapy is her favorite, although not always (depending on the time of year) easy to do regularly. What is your favorite type of exercise/activity? Best, Richard (Team Member)
