Hi Amberblueshark. Sorry to hear about the diagnosis, but glad you have sought out a place you can get information and support. Getting RA under control after a diagnosis can be difficult, as it can take time to find an effective treatment regimen. You don’t mention what treatment you have started, but don’t hesitate to let your rheumatologist know how you think things are progressing and if you feel control is not coming. For the specific pains, thought you might be interested in this article compiling thoughts from the community on what helps with specific areas: https://rheumatoidarthritis.net/living/community-ideas-managing-pain/. @Amberblueshark I’ll be honest, it’s going to be hard to find something to help if you are on your feet for 17 hours a day. Even healthy people are going to have problems with foot pain under those conditions. You can try ice or heat, or even ask your physician about pain meds, but the best answer would be try to shave a few hours off that 17. At least in my thirty some-odd years of experience. DPM
