Take the Allergies In America Survey! (CLOSED)
The Allergies In America survey is now closed!
More than 50 million Americans are living with allergies. Allergens can take shape in many forms with widespread and serious effects on our well-being and mental health. For example, respiratory allergies can sour a spring day, insect allergens can come on suddenly, and latex, food, and medical allergens can bring great stress for people with allergies and caregivers alike.
Allergies and RA: What is the connection?
There is a lot we do not know about the connection between allergies and rheumatic conditions, including ankylosing spondylitis (AS), lupus, and rheumatoid arthritis. Current research has found possible associations between asthma, allergies, and rheumatoid arthritis.1 Our 8th Annual Rheumatoid Arthritis In America data supports these findings too, with 50 percent of 3,511 respondents sharing that they live with allergies.
The findings suggest there is a connection between rheumatic condition and allergies. However, it is unclear how people living with rheumatic conditions are impacted by their allergens. To better understand how people living with rheumatic conditions are affected by allergies, we are fielding our 2021 Allergies In America survey. By taking our survey, you can bring awareness to the realities of life with allergies.
