   <p>Disney1962, <br> Yikes to the new boss! I routinely tell people I have rheumatoid disease, or auto-immune diseases. Perhaps your rheumatologist would write a letter to the boss entailing your disease? It might help, or it might not. But at least, the boss can&#39;t say, &quot;I didn&#39;t know.&quot; <br> By the way, FMLA is a Federal Act, once approved, you do not have to provide notes. I would suggest speaking with HR. Ask them what the company policy is for absences related to FMLA. Compare company policy to what your boss is requiring and go from there. <br> Keep on fighting! <br> Mary Sophia</p>
