15 months since my diagnosis

Hello everyone, good to be here and great to read so much about how RA affects so many people.

Having spent so much time reading everyone else's stories, thought I'd be brave and stick my own out there. I quite enjoy video editing so I've decided to document my journey in hope that it might help others and encourage them to comment in return and share their own insights.

I'll try and post links to the videos in the appropriate places so apologies in advance to the moderating team if I get this wrong.

This was my first effort (be gentle!)

  1. If this is your first time doing something like this, I can't wait to see more! You spoke so openly and honestly about your RA journey, and it was really impactful hearing how you’ve navigated the different phases while continuing to learn and grow through it all. We definitely need more stories like yours. Real experiences told like this help people better understand what living with a chronic illness actually looks like, whether they’re going through it themselves or supporting someone who is. Please keep these episodes coming! I’m looking forward to more. All the best, Latoya (Team Member)

  2. Thank you so much that's really kind of you to say.

I've been reading these forums over the last year (this one and a couple of others) just trying to find my way, and a lot of the topics are about meds, single questions and so on.

So I thought, why don't I just share everything (in stages) and hopefully generate some discussion along the way?

I've since uploaded a second vid about side effects and why I personally no longer worry about them now, in order to help others get over what anxiety they may have.

But I don't think we can post links to vids in here, aside from writing the URL as I did above?

    Thanks again.
    Paul
