Any help would be appreciated

Hi all. I am a 70 year old female and my last body scan showed I have RA. Besides that I had spine surgery and a spine stimulator put in on December 10, 2024. My body is one big pain. I was thinking the stimulator just wasn’t helping then found out about the RA. I am at a complete loss. I am trying to research it, plus I looked for an RA doctor in my area. I am waiting for an appointment. Can someone please give me any information. I basically have no life.

  1. Hi, ! I’m really sorry you’re going through so much right now. Dealing with constant pain, surgery recovery, and then getting hit with an RA diagnosis on top of it all...that’s a lot. It makes total sense that you're feeling overwhelmed and at a loss. Getting in with a good rheumatologist is definitely the right first step. They’ll help you figure out a treatment plan that actually targets the root of your pain, not just the symptoms. 1. Hi Latoya. Thank you so much. I was really taken for a loop. I am waiting for an appointment and I also contacted the stimulator company to let them no also. I thought this Stimlator was going to be the beginning of a new life, nope pain is so bad I only can do so much. Thank i will definitely read that now. I am hoping there is something to slow the progression. Only 70 and feel 95 most days. Thank you again. So happy I found this site. My anxiety and depression is so magnified right now. Nancy. 1. It’s so hard when you’re holding on to hope for something and it just doesn’t go the way you expected. That kind of pain and disappointment wears you down, especially when you’re already doing everything you can just to get through the day. Here's another article that is a popular read in out community- https://rheumatoidarthritis.net/living/feelings-inadequacy-selfdoubt. The comment section below has comments from members who definitely get where you're coming from. You may find it reassuring as you navigate through your emotions.
