Biologic medication

Hi . A lot of community members use biologic. One quick thing to note is that, just like other RA drugs, what works for one may not for another. Our contributor David wrote about his experience with Humira here: https://rheumatoidarthritis.net/living/start-humira-injections (it can also be useful to checkout the comments section of the articles). I can tell you that my wife, Kelly Mack (a contributor here), was diagnosed at age two, 47 years ago. She used the drugs you also previously used and has previously been on Embrel and Humira. However, about 8 years ago she started a biologic call Kevzara, which is an interleukin-6 inhibitor, which is the first medication to bring her inflammation levels into the normal range. I know our friend and fellow site Team Member has a similar story, but with the interleukin-1 inhibitor Kineret. I tell you all of this to illustrate that there is a lot of trial and error with RA drugs, including the biologics, but there are also quite a number of options now and persistence can pay off.
