  1. Hi . Your frustration is certainly understandable. Has anyone mentioned seronegative RA to you? As noted in this article on the topic, up to a third of people with RA are not positive for RA factor: https://rheumatoidarthritis.net/living/seronegative-ra-blood-tests-dont-tell-entire-story (see also: https://rheumatoidarthritis.net/seronegative-diagnosis). A lot more should be considered and go into the diagnostic process than just bloodwork and this article from our editorial team gives an overview: https://rheumatoidarthritis.net/diagnosis. I can't say whether you do or do not have RA (we are not medical professionals), but you deserve to be heard. Don't hesitate to get another opinion. I hope you can get some answers and relief soon. 2. I'm so sorry you have to deal with this. A lot of people in situations like this run into the same issue with having normal bloodwork or a negative rheumatoid factor doesn’t automatically rule RA out. So you're not alone in experiencing something as confusing and frustrating as this. There are actually forms of RA that don’t show up on that test, but symptoms still matter a lot in the diagnosis. All and all, it really sounds like you need someone who will look at everything together and not just focus on a single lab result. If you can, pushing for a rheumatology referral or even a second opinion might be the best next best step. Have considered doing so already? -Latoya (Team Member)
