Has anyone in this community ever found they have low blood sodium after a blood draw? This is a new symptom for me . Just curious. TY

Yes my sodium was so low the cardiologist suggested that I increase my sodium daily

, thanks for responding. I tried increasing my salt intake and my level went lower. This has been an issue the last few weeks but hopefully I will get an answer tomorrow with new medical consult and another blood draw this afternoon.

I haven’t had mine tested. Hopefully in tomorrow’s blood tests

, I don't want to be too nosy, but how did your blood tests go, if you don't mind me asking.

Hi, ! I am glad you are getting further testing and a new medical consult. Has your doctor offered any suggestions as to what could be causing this? Some SSRIs can cause low sodium levels, so if you are on one, that's something to bring up with your doctor.
I do hope you get some clear answers and keep us posted, if you feel comfortable doing so!

Update: my blood sodium level has increased but still low by medical standards. After speaking with my doctor I feel confident it’s not related to my RA. Thank goodness. We have enough to deal with, right! This journey is always changing and challenging but this forum is such a great place to learn and share.

, that's a pretty good update, right? I am glad those sodium levels are going up and I hope they continue to do so, until your numbers are in the safe range.
