Rheumatoid Cachexia - anyone else?

Well I have a new issue attached to my RA and that is Rheumatoid Cachexia. It's been living in me for over three years and now I know why I have unintentional weight loss.

  1. Hi . Rheumatoid cachexia is a highly overlooked aspect of RA. Up to two-thirds of patients have it on some level. Our contributor Lynn Marie touched on it in this article: https://rheumatoidarthritis.net/living/poor-nutritional-status. My wife, Kelly Mack (a contributor here), was diagnosed at age two, 47 years ago and has had a couple of really good rheumatologists and yet I don't think she has ever heard one mention it. Has anyone discussed trying to manage it with you? this research article offers some info on management: https://rheumatoidarthritis.net/living/poor-nutritional-status. Hopefully others will chime in with their thoughts and experiences. Best, Richard (Team Member)
