Symptoms

I am new to the rheumatoid family, so I love my friends. I’m pretty sure there are people here that are on Humira. I just recently switched to Humira injections and then discovered what is called the “Humira hangover” this is a no joking matter! Holy cow. I literally felt like I had the most intense hangover I’ve ever experienced. I felt so helpless. But o guess this is normal and will eventually go away as my body adjusts…. Has anyone experienced this before?

  1. Hi, !

The humira hangover is real and members of this community have been sharing about it for years, so you are not alone in this! I wanted to share this story from a community member about how they work with their hangover -- https://rheumatoidarthritis.net/stories/balancing-act-humira-hangover-exclusive-rheumatoidarthritis-net. And here is one of our contributor's experience with Humira hangover -- https://rheumatoidarthritis.net/living/start-humira-injections. You may notice a lessening of the severity of the hangover feeling or you may find ways to cope to the day after hangover feeling. Please let your doctor know if the hangover feeling is truly unmanageable or if you feel like Humira isn't working for you. And please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any more questions. We're happy to help in any way we can.
