Depression

Depression

  1. I am sorry you are dealing with depression on top of RA, .

The members of this community know how hard it can do to deal with RA day after day. I know you shared in another post on this site that you do feel like your mental health is deteriorating. Do you have anyone you can talk to about this? Like a therapist, counselor, or even your primary care doctor? Everyone can use someone to talk to about the hard things in life, especially when you deal with a chronic condition like RA.

Please know you are not alone in how you are feeling. And you deserve to feel better. I can't promise you will feel better physically, but getting treatment (talk therapy, support, medication, etc) *can* help improve one's mental health.

    Again, you're not alone here!

    Gentle Hugs, Erin, Team Member.

  2. I wanted to pop back on this thread and provide a link to our siste site dedicated to depression -- https://depression.mental-health-community.com/. Finding safe online communities for mental health conditions can be hard and you will probably notice that you can't comment on the depression site. Still, there are lots of helpful stories and articles that, I hope, help you feel less alone. At least 21 million adults in the US have reported experiencing at least one major depressive episode, so please know even though depression feels incredibly isolating, you aren't alone.

    Best, Erin, Team Member.
