RA and hypothyroidism

I have RA but just found out few years or so ago & well I never had a thyroid to begin with & found that out after test & scan was ran but still came out with nothing no sign of a thyroid throughout my entire body not even a little speck of one showing
That one ever even existed when I was a month old so I been taking synthroid since I was 1 month old & now I'm 47 going on 48 years old & I'm going through some crazy stuff my body's doing & I'm not liking it one bit like stuff I can't seem to put into words to even try to explain what's going on or what it's doing

  1. Hi . It is clear that what is happening is causing a lot of stress and people here certainly understand that aspect of living with RA. I know that thyroid agenesis is pretty rare, so there isn't really research on it and RA (probably not enough comorbid cases), but there is a known connection between hypothyroidism and RA. Our contributor Tamara wrote about it and managing here: https://rheumatoidarthritis.net/living/hypothyroidism. Mind if I ask what are some of the new issues/symptoms you are experiencing? Also, do your endocrinologist and rheumatologist coordinate on your care? I ask all this in the hope that there may be others here who might have some thoughts.
