Raised IgE in bloods and chest issues

I have been diagnosed with RA some 9 years now, and under treatment symptoms have been fairly benign. Taking Hydroxychloroquine daily along with omeprazole & Naproxen. No flare ups.
I was recently invited for lung cancer screening as an ex smoker now 70. I felt perfectly well at the time. The scan revealed some lung nodes and inflammation and I was called within 3 days for consultation. The Dr thought it was an infection and prescribed antibiotics. In following days it developed and I was coughing up a lot of congestion and a week after the antibiotics it was not improving so I went to my GP who issued a second course. A subsequent scan two weeks later showed the infection cleared up and bloods confirmed no cancer traces, although the nodule will be monitored. So, I was greatly relieved. However, the respiratory Dr noted that I had a high IgE in blood count (900) and said they would later arrange lung function tests for possible asthma, which I'm quite sure I don't suffer from. This prompted me to look up causes for high Ige and that revealed possible connections with inflammatory conditions such as RA causing a significant rise in autoimmune response.
As I said, I felt in remarkably rude health before this saga began, and yet now I'm concerned that my soft RA journey may be about to become somewhat more troubling. Should I take steps to tackle this or is it just a momentary glitch due to the sudden influx of antibiotics? Could this be related to gastro issues?
Looking for preventative measures to avoid future more serious interventions, if any advice can be proffered?
